Yes, The Haunted Mansion is in the New Orleans Square section of Disneyland, but a Northeastern building helped create the plantation-style mansion. When Walt Disney assigned the Haunted Mansion project to Anderson in 1957, the Imagineer dove into researching what could go into the attraction.
